I love teaching, especially getting students to that aha moment when they can take the technique and run with it! My day-long workshops are designed to run a full six hours, and I can take up to 20 students in a class.

Thread-painting gives you the freedom to make a very realistic image entirely with thread! We’ll warm-up with exercises in straight-stitch and zig-zag free-motion thread-painting and  blending colors. With these skills in hand, we’ll thread-paint an autumn leaf (provided by the instructor).  You’ll be amazed what you can do!

After hiking The Bubbles, walk around Jordan Pond, and look back to see where you climbed, or look for fish hiding in the pond grass and rocks!

Learn to see fabric differently while making a simple landscape with all straight-line piecing.  Freezer-paper templates let you fussy-cut just the right area of fabric. Marking sewing lines and registration points assure accurate piecing (just like making clothes from patterns!)   At the end of one day, students should expect to have cut out about half the pieces, and sewn several seams.  At the end of two days, students will have gained confidence and speed and will have made considerably more progress.   Today, it’s summer.  What season will it be in your quilt?
