About & Contact

I love the moment when my students ‘get it’ and start to fly on their own!

My work has been awarded at regional quilt shows including the Vermont Quilt Festival, The Gathering, and Machine Quilters Expo (MQX), and juried into national and regional shows, including International Quilt Association (IQA/Houston), American Quilters Society (AQS/Paducah).  I have taught at Fiber College of Maine, Connections Quilt Festival, and at guilds, and have had several solo shows at local shows, shops, and libraries.  I live with my husband, three cats, and a happy studio full of fabric and thread in Beverly Farms, MA.

My alter ego:  Back in the day, I worked at the  Northeastern University Libraries, managing the budget, facilities planning, and personnel stuff.  I spoke and consulted on library space planning, and wrote Moving Library Collections: A Management Guide.  But the lure of the perfect spreadsheet and the well-written white paper lost out to the allure of fabric and thread and I happily retired early, and proceeded to immerse myself in all things fiber.  And though I no longer do library consulting, if you ever need to move a library collection, I can recommend a good planning guide !
